A replacement shall be considered only after a minimum of 21 working days from the date of joining of the domestic help. Based on our research and experience we think it typically takes at least a month for both client and the domestic help to get acclimatized to the household, family and chores.
If the domestic help doesn’t work out and you have paid the replacement fee then we will try our best to give you a replacement immediately. However this might be very difficult and we shall take a maximum of 30 days from the date when the replacement request comes up. This takes into account factors such as finding a domestic help within the same salary bracket, if possible and also the exact parameters you chose while selecting your domestic help.
If there are any minor issues which can be resolved, we provide counseling and arbitration before a decision is made for replacement.
Our endeavor is always to find a candidate within the previous help’s salary bracket, but we cannot guarantee that. In case the new help is more expensive, you will have to pay the differential placement fee.
We provide 1 free replacement within the first 90 days (3 months) from the date of joining of the domestic help. For this, there will be no placement fee, but you will have to pay Rs. 750 as documentation/handling charges for address verification and health check.
In case of a replacement, the help being replaced must be paid for the number of days he/she has worked for you on a pro-rata basis. It is not our responsibility to follow up with the client to make this payment.
The replacement candidate shall be sent for an interview only after this payment has been made by the client to the domestic help.
Client cannot detain the domestic help to be replaced against her wishes until we replace with a new one. It is illegal to keep the domestic help against her wishes and we shall not be liable for an eventuality in the interim.
Any request after completion of 90 days will be considered as a new request and client will have to pay a non - refundable placement fee along with service tax. You will not have to pay registration charges if your membership is still valid.
2 candidates will be provided for the interview under replacement. Onus of being available to interview these candidates lies with the client. If the client is out of town and the time lapses, we will not be held responsible and the client cannot ask for a refund.
Domestic help is hired based on his or her primary skills mapped to your specific requirement. Cooks & nannies tend to stick to their primary roles and if asked to perform other tasks, they might not continue in employment for too long. If a nanny or a cook is asked to sweep & mop floor or clean bathrooms the chances of them staying in employment with you are very less. Only as your relationship with the domestic help grows do they tend to take on additional tasks assigned to them.
On important events or festivals you can request them to lend a hand but if this goes on for a longer period then chances of domestic help getting over worked and leaving are higher so care must be taken as any shift or additional tasks added to the role after hiring domestic help which might affect his or her primary duties might lead to over work.
Adding to the above point, we are only liable for 1 replacement and if the domestic help absconds because he/she is made to perform any tasks which are beyond his/her primary skills we will not replace. For instance, a cook cannot be expected to clean bathrooms, sweep/ mop floor. However based on prior agreement they can be asked to wash dishes and help in dusting as a top domestic help.
It will not be our responsibility to give any accommodation to the domestic help you hired from us in case you go on any vacation. Should you send the help back her to his/her house, it is your responsibility to check if the domestic help returns from her place. In the 1st few months of hiring a domestic help
you are advised not to go on a long leave as chances of domestic help taking up another job are higher. Its suggested to pay him/her for the time you have gone on a vacation.
If within a few days or a month of joining domestic help informs she or he wants to go on a vacation due to personal problems or any other reason, it’s a good idea to call our clients team so we can check the veracity of such a claim. Our endeavor is to prevent the domestic help from not returning. Also in such cases you are advised not to give away any advances to the domestic help.
The age of the domestic helper you prescribe will depend upon the availability of helper in that specific age category, if availability is not there, then you will have to employ a domestic helper of a different age category or wait for the prescribed age category or profile.
Our normal timing for rendering our services is approximately 30-45 days, but sometimes under certain circumstances / due to unavoidable situation it may be extended further. Sometimes due to unavailability of a domestic helper you may be requested to accept whoever is presently available to avoid the desperate situation or to wait for the desired domestic helper.
